National Car Rental Helps Tee Off the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid at Bellerive Country Club

National is the “Official Rental Car” of the 74th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, May 21-26

ST. LOUIS May 20, 2013 – The 74th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid is headed to St. Louis from May 21 – 26, 2013, where it will be hosted for the first time by Bellerive Country Club. National Car Rental, the premier rental car brand for business travel, is the Official Rental Car of the Championship, which is recognized as the most historic and prestigious event in senior golf.

By hosting the 2013 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, Bellerive becomes only the third golf facility to host all four of the country's rotating major championships: the PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship, U.S. Open and U.S. Senior Open. Bellerive, which will also host the 100th PGA Championship in August 2018, is known for its length and large, undulating greens. Bellerive was designed by Robert Trent Jones and has gone through a number of changes and refinements to prepare for these championship opportunities. 

In October 2012, National sponsored the local National Car Rental PGA REACH Charity Pro-Am golf tournament, which raised nearly $100,000 to enable PGA REACH to expand its programs and improve the lives of young people in the St. Louis area. Similarly, in advance of the PGA Championship in August, the car rental brand will sponsor a PGA REACH charity Pro-Am tournament on June 17 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., to benefit local youth programs.
