Since our founding in 1957, Enterprise has had a steadfast commitment to serve the communities where our customers and employees live and work.

Since our founding, we have worked to be an engaged corporate citizen that makes a real difference in the communities where we live and work. Our company began with a single neighborhood office and a simple commitment to serve our customers, employees and communities. As our business continues to grow, we work to extend that same spirit of care and respect to thousands of communities around the world.

When Jack Taylor founded Enterprise in 1957, he wanted to do the right thing – for his customers and his employees. Jack really didn't talk about founding values when he started up the company – he and his team simply lived them. Over the years we’ve formalized our values into a set of guiding principles – a cultural compass – that helps ensure our success.

From our executive suite to our branch locations, we know that healthy and prosperous communities are the lifeblood of our business. Enterprise Holdings Inc. is committed to promoting community growth and prosperity, whether through employment, charitable activities or service to our customers.

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation – our company's philanthropic arm – has contributed more than $266 million to thousands of local nonprofits focused on community improvement, education and environmental stewardship. And each year our employees contribute their time and skills to thousands of national and local organizations in the cities and neighborhoods we serve.

Through the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, we donated $27.3 million in FY2016. Eighty-nine percent of the grants made by the foundation fulfilled requests by employees to help community causes they personally champion and actively support.
