New Enterprise Plus Program Rewards Loyal Enterprise Rent-A-Car Customers

No Blackout Dates; Enterprise Plus Members Redeem Points On Any Available Vehicle On Any Day At More Than 5,500 Locations

ST. LOUIS – March 13, 2012 – Car rental customers now have another reason to choose Enterprise Rent-A-Car with this month’s launch of the new and improved Enterprise Plus loyalty program. Already widely recognized for its unsurpassed customer service, Enterprise is recognizing frequent renters with member rewards and free rental days.

With every qualifying rental, Enterprise Plus members earn points they can redeem anytime on free rentals of any available vehicle throughout Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s network of more than 5,500 neighborhood and airport locations throughout North America, including the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Points do not expire as long as the member rents at least once every two years.

Additional Enterprise Plus benefits include access to members-only check-in at participating locations and to dedicated phone lines for expedited service, as well as special members-only offers through the program’s “Email Extras” e-newsletter.

“Adding rewards to Enterprise Plus is just one more way for us to thank our customers for their business and show them how much we appreciate their loyalty,” said Jim Stoeppler, Enterprise brand director. “What makes these enhancements so exciting – beyond free rental days with no blackout dates – is that we’re building on the excellent customer service we already strive to provide each day in our locations by giving our customers what they told us they wanted…rewards.”

As Enterprise Plus members rent more frequently, they can quickly rise to Silver, Gold or Platinum status to gain access to even more reward options until the end of the next program year. Each status level has its own unique set of benefits, such as bonus points and vehicle upgrades:

About Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Founded in 1957 and known for an extensive network of locations, everyday low rates and outstanding customer service, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is an internationally recognized brand that has been named to BusinessWeek magazine’s annual list of “Customer Service Champs” in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  Enterprise led the car rental industry in an annual North American airport car rental survey, which includes both leisure and business travelers, for seven years in a row. In addition, Market Metrix, LLC, a leading provider of customer and employee feedback and performance tools for the hospitality industry, has recognized the Enterprise brand as the leader in customer satisfaction in the car rental industry 29 out of 31 times. Further, Enterprise won Budget Travelmagazine’s 2010 and 2011 Readers’ Choice Award as their favorite rental car brand for customer service around the globe.

Enterprise operates more than twice as many locations as its nearest competitor and continues to lead the home-city market, with local car rental revenues currently experiencing double-digit growth. Enterprise Rent-A-Car operates not only as a key provider for insurance replacement, weekend getaways and special occasions, but also as a local transportation alternative. For example, many consumers rely on mass transit during the week or simply cannot afford to purchase or maintain a vehicle on their own – so they often depend on local Virtual Car® rental service and take advantage of Enterprise’s “everyday low price,” including popular weekend rates starting at $9.99 per day.

To further minimize the environmental impact of car rentals, Enterprise not only offers customers the opportunity to offset carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, but also to rent a hybrid vehicle in more than 30 major markets. Enterprise received a 2010 Business Traveler Innovation Award – sponsored by the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) and The Wall Street Journal – for its outstanding and original environmental efforts in the travel industry. St. Louis-based Enterprise Holdings owns and operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand. With annual revenues of $14.1 billion and more than 70,000 employees, Enterprise Holdings also operates, through its regional subsidiaries, more than 1.2 million cars and trucks, making it the largest car rental service provider in the world measured by revenue, employees and fleet.
