National Car Rental Offers Eighth Annual "One-Two-Free" Promotion for Emerald Club Members

St. Louis, Mo., Aug. 24, 2010 National Car Rental, the premier car rental brand of the frequent airport traveler, is launching its eighth annual “One-Two-Free” Emerald Club promotion, which runs through January 31, 2011.

Emerald Club customers must register at www.emeraldclubpromos.com/12Free to be eligible. For every two qualifying rentals of two or more days with National, Emerald Club members earn one free rental day – with no limit to the number of free days earned.  Participating members can also earn a free rental day for referring a friend in addition to their standard program rewards for all rentals.

This year’s program offers Emerald Club members more than nine months to redeem their free rental days (from September 3, 2010, to June 25, 2011.)  Free days can be used anytime, up to three at-a-time, including weekends.  In keeping with the speed and convenience of the Emerald Club rental experience, National notifies participants about their free rental days via email.

With National, time-sensitive customers in the U.S. are able to quickly choose their own vehicles, based upon their advance reservation and requested car class, and then simply drive away from the airport. National – which launched the car rental industry’s first comprehensive frequent-renter program – further expedites the rental process for its Emerald Club members by offering counter bypass as well as convenient e-receipts.  The Emerald Club program also provides access to National’s “Emerald Aisle,” an exclusive section of the lot where members can select any vehicle as long as they reserve a midsized car.  The SmarterTravel Editors Choice Award went to Emerald Club in 2010 as the “Best Rental Car Loyalty Program,” and the Emerald Club also won the National Business Travel Association’s 2010 Innovative Award for Travel Convenience and Efficiency.

There are no enrollment fees to join National’s Emerald Club, which offers faster service at airports, free upgrades and a choice of program rewards.  “The priority is to ensure our loyal customers receive the best value incentives and customer service programs available in the car rental industry,” said Rob Connors, assistant vice president for the National Car Rental brand.
