Market Metrix Announces 2009 Hospitality Index Results

Enterprise Rent-A-Car ranks number one; National Car Rental ranks number three with strongest loyalty program in class; Alamo Rent A Car shows greatest improvement


SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (February 23, 2010) – Market Metrix, LLC, the leading provider of customer and employee feedback and performance tools for the hospitality industry, today announced annual results of the Market Metrix Hospitality Index (MMHI) for 2009.  Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Oberoi Hotels, and Virgin Atlantic Airlines ranked number one in rental car industry, hotel and airline customer satisfaction, respectively.

Along with Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is owned and operated by St. Louis-based Enterprise Holdings. Since the Market Metrix was instituted in 2002, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand has been recognized as the leader in customer satisfaction in the car rental industry 27 out of 29 times. Alamo Rent A Car showed the greatest improvement in customer satisfaction, while National Car Rental ranked number three with top ratings for its Emerald Club loyalty program. All three of the company’s car rental brands received customer satisfaction ratings above the industry average of 78.4.
